There's a song by the band The Fixx, "One Things Leads to Another." It's in my head right now as I am settting up this Forum software for the website. It was never my intention to try to build an online community around MultiMAX. We have a very dedicated, small and growing community of users who discuss trading with MultiMAX and other Coral tools via Telegram, and that has been plenty.
But I'm getting ready to release Chart Logic. And as part of that, I want to be able to share files: strategies, conditions, test files and so on. Plus, I'd really like Chart Logic users, Chart Logicians, to be able to upload your own files to share with others as well. There is a very bare-bones Files feature of the website, but you can't describe the file at all. I think these files are going to need some kind of description so people will know how to use them and what to expect. So here we are. Forums. Discussions. Online community. I'm really curious to see where this leads over time!
To use these files, you need a copy of Chart Logic. Download the file and extract it to a location in your <common\Files\ChartLogic> folder. There are different kinds of files: strategies, logic sets, conditions. The description of each file should say what kind of file it is. In Chart Logic, click the "Open" button for the location where you want to insert the file and it will be added to your current working strategy at that point.
The files in this section are also tagged, so you can quickly see all of the files of a certain type. Here is how I'm tagging them; just click the tag to see all matching posts.
#strategy - These are files that you open from main Chart Logic window
#logicset - These files can be imported into a Strategy in the Stragegy Dialog
#condition - These can be imported into a Logic Set or a Set Condition
#test - These are files meant to demonstrate or test specific features
#indicator - This is a file that is designed to display some data, but has no trading features.
